Duration: Permanent, Full Time

Job Purpose:

In Aberdeen city, your main role will be to lead and take part in providing top-notch person-centered care and support to service users across various accommodation settings, including their homes. Your involvement in team organization and development aims to enhance positive outcomes for both service users and their caregivers.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess at least:

Qualification required by SSSC SVQ 3
Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme Record (PVG) or readiness to obtain membership
Registration or intention to register with the SSSC if applicable
PDA in supervision or willingness to pursue

Responsibilities

The post holder is expected to exhibit:

The skill to uphold dignity, respect, choice, independent living, and work in a non-discriminatory manner
The ability to assess, plan, review, maintain, and enhance precise records including risk assessments and support plans
Effective communication and collaboration with service users, colleagues, caregivers, families, and internal/external professionals to achieve better results for service users
Teamwork capability and the provision of leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to fellow staff members
Offering personal care to individuals with diverse support needs
Proactive and self-directed work with minimal direct supervision, while knowing when to escalate matters to a higher manager
Precise handling of detailed information, particularly regarding managing and administering service users' medication
Meeting deadlines
Basic IT proficiency, including smartphone usage and familiarity with Microsoft Word and iPads
Safe movement and handling of both individuals and objects
