This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fantastic team delivering environmental outcomes through the Devon and Cornwall Area Environment Programme.

The team is made up of catchment co-coordinators and project managers, delivering environmental enhancement projects and working with catchment based partnerships.

The team has high ambitions for Devon and Cornwall's environment so we are looking for someone with energy and vision who can deliver innovative approaches to our projects, partnerships and funding.

Experience of creating map-based products through using GIS systems is an essential part of the role.

They will also have a good understanding of how to use communication forums to promote the work of the Environment Programme, such as social media.


  • The team
  • As a member of the Devon Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Environment Programme Team you will join an enthusiastic and dynamic group comprising Catchment Coordinators and Project Managers reporting to the Environment Programme Manager. We are a friendly, enthusiastic, supportive team placebased team that work flexibly throughout our Area. We have an excellent reputation for working across Agency functions and external organisations to improve the environment for wildlife and people.


  • Experience/skills required

  • Through experience you will be able to demonstrate the following skills.

Technical:

  • Experience using GIS, including Arc Map and/or Arc Pro, ESRI
  • Experience working with and analysing spatial data
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge and experience of data management
  • Able to communicate technical information effectively
  • Experience working with Sharepoint would be beneficial

Additional skills:

  • Utilises a range of communication methods
  • Good prioritisation skills
  • Sound decision making and escalating issues
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Customer focused with experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
