Description
A leading civils engineering company require an experienced Civils EstimatorTo prepare, manage and supervise accurate estimates for major infrastructure projects to support delivery of business objectives including relationship with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Prepare, manage and supervise accurate estimates for major infrastructure projects.# Create detailed cost risk analysis and work breakdown analysis.
# Identify and prepare risks and opportunities register.
# Create tender programmes using MS project, Asta Powerprojects or similar software.
# Participate in Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) with our Bid / Construction Team and Clients.
# Subcontractor engagement at tender stage, producing enquiries and assessing returns from supply chain.
# Identify opportunity and risk during the tender process.
# Help develop, mentor, and manage junior / trainee estimators.
# Promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors, and other external contacts.
# Demonstrate willingness to undertake training and development.
Experience in:
Highways, Water, Gas, or Telecoms.
Experience with various Contract Conditions:
NEC3 & 4 , JCT and ability to interpret risks. Previous exposure to Microsoft Project. Ability to adapt to estimating software and packages. Full UK Licence as travel to sites and meetings will be required. Vehicle or Car allowance, Pension, 25 days annual leave (Ex BH), Discretional annual bonus.
