    Description

    Consilium Recruit has been exclusively retained by an industry leading manufacturer of complex engineered products to manage the recruitment of a new Business Unit Manager.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site operations including operations, commercial and engineering and applicants are sought with proven leadership experience gained within a fast paced engineering or manufacturing operation .

    The Role


    Responsible for Business Unit performancenDrive and lead new business development opportunities.nLead a multi–disciplined team as a cross functional business unit throughout the stages of design, development, manufacture and marketing of products and services.nMaintain and develop long standing relationships with customers, distributers and end users.nSet, communicate and ensure achievement of Business Unit priorities, goals and targets.nLead negotiations of new contracts and contract extensionsnStreamline Business Unit's processes and improve working practices to achieve efficiencies and continuous productivity improvements.nDrive a continuous and process improvement ethos across the plant.nLead and engage the team and install accountability by identifying goals and empowering employees.

    The Person


    Proven site leadership experience gained within a complex engineering environment.nDemonstrable track record of driving continuous and process improvement.nCapable of managing, developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing operations to meet agreed performance plans within agreed budgets.nGood understanding and experience of working in a highly regulated complex engineering environment.nDemonstrate business acumen coupled with the ability to identify opportunities for profitable business development with good knowledge, experience and understanding of contract terms and negotiation.nDegree level or higher, desirable in business and/or technical disciplines.
