- Construct, maintain and conduct regular checks for Estate infrastructure, including perimeter fence, gates, tracks, bridges and footpaths
- Support the team with practical management of woodland, ponds, natural regeneration and tree planting
- Carry out small scale repairs to include decorating and painting, basic plumbing, basic electrics and carpentry
- Site inspections to identify, report and address caretaking tasks as prioritised by the Land Manager and Operations office
- Working as part of the wider Team ensure the estate operates as a safe, clean and accessible site
- Operate ride-on lawn mowers and holding relevant tickets for power tools including hedge-cutters and chainsaws (desirable)
- Available on occasions out of hours to unlock or allow access to visitors for pre-arranged visits or events
- Report health and safety issues
- Portering duties such as moving furniture, equipment and inventory between buildings or across the wider estate
- As part of the wider team contribute to maintaining security on the estate at all times
- Essential skills;
- Current, clean driving license
- Proficient farm vehicle, tractor driving, and chainsaw skills (appropriate training will be provided where necessary/ desirable)
- Basic knowledge in joinery, plumbing and electrics
- Good communication skills
- Practical, efficient and methodical approach to working
- The ability to work in a team and interact with a wide range of people
- To be able to work to deadlines, working to the highest standards

A new position has arisen for a Facilities Operative to join our growing team at Ewhurst Park in Hampshire.
Ewhurst Park is a 925-acre rural estate which has embarked on an estate-wide biodiversity and sustainability project with the goal of restoring the land for nature, growing healthy and ethically produced organic food. We aim to inspire people to reconnect with the land, nature, and sources of food through community outreach, organized education and hospitality events held on the estate.
Job Specification
Reporting to your line manager, the role will involve all aspects of general maintenance. The ideal candidate will be multi-skilled, will have worked in a similar role and have an understanding of rural estate operations. As a growing organization with an evolving structure you will be required to be adaptable and proactive.

Normal working hours are between 9am and 5pm. However, some flexibility will be required for events and to meet deadlines.
