- Coordinate component part picking from stores and despatch to subcontractor
- Organise collection and receipt of parts post subcontract treatments (painting or surface treatments)
- Prepare received parts for inspection including but not limited to unwrapping, de-masking, identifying to engineering drawings
- Wrap and protect parts to issue to stores or main build area
- Assist with Supply Chain related fitting operations including, fettling castings, tapping threads, fitting helicoils, reworking components and fork lift activities
- Any other such duties that may be reasonably compatible with the nature and scope of the role
- Proven work experience as an assembly technician or a similar role
- Have experience and be able to use a selection of hand held tools
- Be a good team player with the ability to work using own initiative when required
- Work in a safe and orderly manner to ensure all company H&S standards are adhered to
- Work at an acceptable pace to meet deadlines, without sacrificing H&S & Quality standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Be able to work effectively and accurately when completing tasks
- Have the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight schedules
- Forklift licence would be desired but not essential, a willingness to learn as it would be a requirement going forward
- Able to read and fully understand technical engineering drawings
- Computer Literate – Working knowledge of MS Office, and a MRP or ERP system
