Description

We are looking for a tearoom assistant to provide a highlevel of customer service serving customers in the Shrine tearoom.

You will create a welcoming atmosphere in the Shrine Tea room and help enrich Walsingham's pilgrimage experience. You will enjoy engaging with a wide range of people as part of an enthusiastic team.

You will welcome pilgrims and visitors with authentic enthusiasm and be committed to improving their experience of Walsingham by:

Maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety expected in a food retail outlet and holding a level 2 hygiene certificate.
Preparing and providing counter and table service of hot and cold food and drinks, operating electronic point of sale tills.
Ensuring that appropriate levels of stock are available, and the stock room is kept tidy and items stored safely.
Undertaking daily cleaning routines and to take pride in the appearance of the Shrine.
Serving at events outside of core operations for specific groups, ie barbecue, hogroasts, afternoon teas, etc
Complying with financial and cash handling policy at all times.
To ensure areas are maintained free from litter.
To help out in the shop as required.
To act as an ambassador for the Shrine at all times.

This is an interesting role which would suit someone who enjoys interacting with and helping people. It requires someone committed to the Shrine and to working collaboratively with colleagues across teams.

Pay:
£12.00 per hour.

Hours:
Minimum 14 hours per week on a Fixed Term Contract, May to December. The role will require weekend and bank holiday working.
