Edith Cavell ward are looking for an Evening Housekeeper to work for 3 hours Monday to Friday evenings, under supervision, as a member of it's multidisciplinary team.


You will be expected to perform a wide range of duties to deliver best possible care and service for patients admitted and to support and offer suggestions in improving the delivery of care and service to patients and service users.

You will work alongside all members of the Multidisciplinary team to facilitate a clean and safe ward environment, liaising daily with the nursing staff to identify and undertake all non - clinical tasks, which will enhance the patient experience and

You must possess excellent communication skills.


Receive daily handover from nursing staff to direct role requirements for that day, as appropriate, hand over this information to domestic staff.


Your role will involve monitoring and overseeing the provision of food, source alternatives as requested or to meet patient's needs and assist with feeding and intake recording and report variances to nurse in charge.

Clear away patient trays and clean the patient table. Record the food intakes, discussing with patient their nutritional satisfaction, offer alternatives as appropriate.

Report any changes to intake and barriers to eating to the nurse in charge.
