WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, which can be discussed with the recruitment team during the hiring process.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Lawyer to join our highly successful Retail, Wealth & Business Banking legal team to support our mortgage division.
This role would be suited to a qualified solicitor who is seeking the opportunity to deliver expert, accurate, and cost-effective legal advice in relation to mortgage issues.
Reporting into the Head of Legal within mortgages, you'll be providing high quality legal support for Santander's UK retail banking businesses on mortgage matters.

Providing high quality legal advice to stakeholders on all mortgage matters.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, Retail, Wealth & Business Banking team within the Mortgage division.
Liaising with the appropriate business areas to ensure that matters are appropriately supported within the mortgages division and best practices are shared with wider teams.
What you'll bring.
Qualified with either a Solicitors Practising Certificate for England and Wales, practicing barrister or a Scottish or foreign jurisdiction equivalent.
It would also be nice for you to have.
Working knowledge of all aspects of regulated banking together with a thorough understanding of the retail, wealth and business banking business and mortgages.
To be able to act decisively and foster confidence as well as to assume responsibility, ownership, and accountability for the team

This is a permanent position based in our Milton Keynes office with a high degree of flexibility for homeworking.
