    Exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer role in Leeds to be part of a successful and growing organization where your dedication and accomplishments will be recognized and rewarded.

    Working at multiple branches in the UK, Crouch Waterfall is a forward-thinking Civil, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineering Consultancy involved in various projects such as buildings, railway infrastructure, bridges, and geotechnics.

    Established in 1981, the company has experienced consistent growth driven by a committed workforce of 100 skilled employees.

    The Role

    Join the collaborative team at the friendly Leeds office, collaborating with other offices on diverse projects.

    Reporting to the Company Director and Associate, you will serve as a Technical and Project Lead, guiding a team of Engineers and Technicians through a range of projects, from small-scale to £20m constructions.

    The ideal candidate should have expertise in structural and temporary works design, understanding the need for both permanent and temporary design solutions.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Leading and overseeing Engineers and Technicians, providing mentorship and training
    • Managing projects within building schemes
    • Conducting inspections, surveys, and assessments, and preparing detailed reports
    • Supervising civil and structural design, including verifying designs and calculations
    • Advising on solutions and supporting team members
    • Developing client relationships and work opportunities
    • Managing project resources and workloads

    Permanent employment with 40-hour workweeks and flexible start times. Core hours are Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm.

    Requirements for Consideration

    • Relevant Civil or Structural Engineering degree
    • Working towards or obtained Chartership with ICE or IStructE
    • Strong technical skills in design, assessments, and project management
    • Experience with UK industry standards, Eurocode, and Highways
    • Experience leading engineering teams
    • Client-focused with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Commercial acumen
    • Valid UK driving license and transportation
    • Right to live and work in the UK
