    Specialty Doctor in Anaesthetics
    Join our vibrant Department of Anaesthetics as a Speciality Doctor.

    The role is a mixture of elective daytime anaesthesia and resident full shift work providing emergency Anaesthesia services including nights and weekend as part of a resident 1:7 on-call rota.

    In view of Border Immigration Agency regulations, all applicants must state their current immigration status including expiry dates.

    You must have a minimum of 4 years experience working as an anaesthetist at least 2 of which will be in a specialty training programme in anaesthesia or as a fixed-term specialty trainee in anaesthesia or equivalent.

    The contract will be for 10 PA's per week including working evening, nights and weekends.

    The work programme will comprise of a 7 week rota pattern and will correspond to a 10-session contract.
    Four years full-time postgraduate training (or part-time equivalent), at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in anaesthesia or as fixed term specialty trainee in Anaesthesia, OR equivalent experience/competencies
    ~ Counselling and communication skills
    Understanding of clinical risk management and clinical governance
    Ability to take independent clinical decisions when necessary and to seek advice from senior doctors as appropriate
    Personal Qualities
    Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English adequate to enable effecgive communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
