An exciting opportunity has arisen at a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Swindon, Wiltshire, proudly rated as 'GOOD' by Ofsted. This thriving school community is dedicated to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment where every student can achieve their full potential.
They are seeking a dedicatedand passionate SEN Primary Teacher to join our committed team from September 2024.
Responsibilities:
*Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all pupils with SEN.
*Assess individual learning needs and work on a group and one-to-one basis as required.
*Implement and adapt Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each child.
*Collaborate with other teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to enhance learning outcomes.
*Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment that encourages pupils to achieve their personal best.
*Maintain accurate records of pupils' progress and development.
*Engage with professional development opportunities to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislative changes.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
*Proven experience in a primary educational setting, preferably with specific experience in SEN.
*A thorough understanding of the current National Curriculum and SEN strategies.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff, parents, and external bodies.
*A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of special education.
*Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
*Empathy, patience, and the drive to make a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
