    Job Summary

    Ops Enablement (OE) sits at the critical intersection of our Customers and Operations.

    Working on a global team of SMEs, the role will utilize analytical insights into order to execute decisions, drive process and technology solutions to improve workforce efficiency at Equinix data centres globally.

    This role will work on automating and streamlining the delivery of workforce tracking and workforce capacity planning and associated tools and technologies in line with the strategic Ops Enablement vision. Working closely with our Regional Field Operations teams to establish standards, processes and change parameters to improve our workforce efficiency. The role will also define global requirements, design and analyze solutions and manage efficiency gaining initiatives from inception to completion. To do this successfully, requires working closely with data center Operations leadership, SMEs and other Operations Enablement functions to understand and refine business needs and development requirements. The role is centered around our core retail and xScale services in the customer operations and critical facility environments.

    Responsibilities

    Data Exploration

    • Explores data files to determine trends and relationships between variables
    • Pulls data through a variety of tools to gather source data to support metrics
    • Cross checks data sets to help data integrity
    • Reviews typical issues around data integrity and works with management to determine what actions to take to resolve them
    • Identifies root causes related to newly discovered issues
    • Perform data impact analysis and drive consistent data solutions within the Region as well as Globally to maintain alignment in relation to business process
    • Ability to understand various technologies, analytic tools to troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day data issues

    Ad Hoc Reporting

    • Creates basic ad hoc report requests, using insights from data exploration to prepare basic visualizations and PowerPoint reports for clients requesting the data
    • Compiles data and assists in producing routine reports

    Client Management and Audit Support

    • Reaches out to client to clarify requests and debriefs with client to explain data insights and confirm report
    • Coordinates and tracks audit requirements for specific data set and processes
    • Works with management for any process related issues that need to be addressed
    • Follows up as needed to address discrepancies found in data and tracks to completion

    Analytics Coaching

    • Requests accounts for new joiners and trains them on analytics tools

    Data Audit and Cleansing

    • Contributes to periodic audits of data within business systems/platforms
    • Performs follow-up checks to ensure data quality and accuracy

    Scheduled Reports

    • Downloads required data and creates pre-defined reports as per defined schedule
    • Delivers reports to stakeholder group and answers questions pertaining to the report

    Qualifications

    • Proven years of experience preferred
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, or relevant engineering discipline preferred
    • Proficient Excel and Access
    • Proficient in PowerPoint
    • Knowledge of telecommunications and Internet technologies and systems
    • Possess solid time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Strong analytical skills to work with large amounts of data, perform number crunching and analyze to find solutions
    • Strong Communication skills to present findings and translate data issues to an understandable document
    • Critical thinking to analyze numbers, trends and to come up with solutions
    • Reliability, diligence and excellent organization skills with a strong attention to detail
    • Ability to travel Domestically or Internationally up to several weeks at a time as needed
    • Siebel experience a plus
