About the role

The work load will be 50+ schemes per year, which need to be administered, documents controlled, information managed and processes checked and managed.

The role has been determine as required to develop update and manage the scheme information for three DBFO projects.

The role tasks and responsibilities that have been identified are:

Communication:
Weekly collaborative planning meeting to raise awareness of required information / documentation in a timely manner

Quality & document control
Establishment of standards for documents, folder structures, storage and information
help the team to make sure information standards are met and maintained

Compliance;
Ensuring all documents, files etc are completed at each stage and the key handover meeting and information transfer take place


Maintaining the programme information:
Working with the planner and project managers to ensure required information has been completed at each stage of the programme


Reporting:
What's working well, what isn't where are there issues in the process


What you'll be doing You'll be developing your communication, information management and document control skills to help deliver lots of small schemes and projects**Information management:
  • Helping to setup and co
  • ordinate all the project information into standardised system
  • Sorting archives and moving information to new systems
Quality Control of documents and information

  • Have we got all the right information?
  • Have we got all the information where we need it, chase those who need to provide it
Co-ordination support for work priorities

  • Working with project team members on 3 contracts
  • Support them with setting up information folders for their schemes
- identify what's missing

  • Support project reporting with information

We'd like you to be confident, a good communicator, likes the balance of working with a team and working solo, quick learner and driven to develop themselves

IT literate, comfortable with Microsoft excel, word and office tools

Likes solving problems, fixing things, and task focused on getting things done, with an attention to detail

The Balfour Beatty DBFO projects are three highway maintenance projects based at Leeds, Derby and Exeter covering the following routes

A50,M1A1,A30/35

We deliver routine cyclic and winter maintenance, keeping our roads safe and running and deliver over a hundred renewal and repair schemes per year,
