Senior Cost Consultant - Pharmaceutical Sector

Macclesfield - 2/3 days onsite

Project: Research and biopharmaceutical sector ranging from managing global property portfolios and business case development to construction delivery, fit-out commission and hand-over.

This is a new role supporting the pharmaceutical and technology business unit in our consult engine. Our consult engine offers a wide variety of career opportunities for the industries top talent. Typical duties will include:

General

Responsible for management of the Cost Control and QS team, ensuring compliance with Project Control processes and procedures including delivery of technical training

Implement, maintain and lead an integrated Project Control team approach which support the AstraZeneca Project Control and Capital Project policies and procedures

Implement an integrated project control approach to support the project,taking into account procurement and contracting strategies and team structure.

Ensure accurate project

Perform monthly team 1-2-1 check ins and updates with cost control team

Liaise with Project Control Manager to develop project cost services requirements in support of the project delivery teams. Ensure accurate project control responsibilities are prepared per the Project Management Plan requirements

Support resource management and recruitment support processes in conjunction with the Project Control Manager

Coordinate and mobilise resources for the cost control requirements on projects in a timely manner

Develop internal and external RACI matrices to support projects in providing project control services to a high standard.

Estimating and Benchmarking

Production of project estimate including commercial risk register

Perform project audits and peer review of sanction estimates

Production of Class D estimates and cashflows as required to support PMO estimator

Implement resource management tools for control of all resource based costs on the project (GE, AZ Owner, CQV and PV)

Support the Project Manager in the development and implementation of risk management processes for cost & schedule from the earlier estimating stages and during execution

Liaise with the Project Planning and Scheduling function in support of the delivery of the project.
