- Provide commercial and financial assurance and verification of costs on a range of projects in different sectors.
- Analysis and assessment of contractor's accounting and commercial systems and processes.
- Prepare risk-based audit and verification plans.
- Detailed audit and analysis of a range of cost types.
- Prepare high quality and robust outputs and working papers.
- Understanding and interpretation of different types of contractual frameworks.
- Engagement with contractors, clients, regulatory bodies and other relevant stakeholders.
- Preparation of clear and concise reports.
- Development of forensic technology and analysis tools.
- Support the Head of Cost Assurance and other senior staff within Gleeds.

- Experience of NEC3/4 contracts.
- Experience of working with corporate risk and audit functions.
- Experience of cost verification, internal/external audit, financial reviews on significant infrastructure and construction projects.
- Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
- Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.
- Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in data analysis tools such as Power BI.
- Experience of contract management and administration systems.
- Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
- Ability to work as part of a team, and/or to lead a team, depending on level.
- MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or,
- Accounting/Auditing experience (AAT, ACA, CIMA etc) or,
- Relevant practical experience
