    Perenco is an independent oil & gas company with operations in 17 countries across the globe, ranging from Northern Europe to Africa and from South America to the Middle East. Perenco is involved in operations both onshore and offshore.

    This is a multi-faceted role which requires the ability to work independently supporting our management / financial accounts and requires good people skills to interact with the offices in Norwich, Dorset and the main Group Head office in London.

    The role will be based at our Norwich Office on a Monday to Friday basis although there will be an occasional requirement for travel to other sites to liaise with other finance functions based there.

    Key Responsibilities Include:

    •The Junior Financial Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely information to the Group's key stakeholders. This includes:
    oPreparation and delivery of monthly management accounts and cash flow including analytical review and variance analysis under the supervision of the financial accountant.
    oPreparation of quarterly financial accounts under the supervision of the financial accountant
    oBalance sheet reconciliations and agreement of inter-company accounts.
    oManagement of aged debtors and counterparty risk.
    oAssisting with annual budget process.

    •Other key tasks include:
    oLiaison with external auditors and management of year end / interim audits.
    oPreparation of consolidation for UK group companies.
    oPreparation of the Group Statutory Accounts under IFRS.
    oLiaison with Tax Manager and assistance with tax computations/PRT returns.
    oPreparation of monthly VAT returns.

    •Assisting the Financial accountant / Financial Controller in any ad hoc projects as required.

    •Developing good working practices and continually looking for improvements in underlying processes.

    Key Requirements Include:

    Qualifications/Experience:

    •Part / fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) would be preferable but relevant experience will be considered.

    •Knowledge of SAP accounting package is a plus but training will be provided

    •knowledge of Microsoft Office package

    •1-2 years Finance/Accounts experience in similar role preferable but not essential.
