Hoop Professional Services are working with a leading manufacturing, engineering and distribution organisation who are looking for a new Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a great position for anyone who has background in financial accounting looking for a varied, engaging role working alongside a well organised, professional, hard working team.

They offer hybrid working and a half day on friday alongside other benefitsincluding 37 hour working weeks, up to 7% employer penion contribution and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking full responsibility for the financial accounting including month end, prepayments, accruals, inventory, warranty provisions, payroll, hedge accounting and lease accounting.
  • Month end controllership checks (WIP, Project provisions, accruals).
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for fixed asset register.
  • COnsolidation of tool load and month end reporting to the group.
  • VAT reporting.
  • Ownership of ERP financial reporting.
  • National statistics reporting.
  • Insurance declarations.
  • Intercompany reconciliations and reporting.
  • Coordinate the year end audit for the management accounts / statutory accounts.
  • Produce statutory accounts.
  • Produce year end tax packs.
  • Continuous improvement processes.
  • Any other ad hoc projects.

Person specification:

  • CIMA, ACA, ACCA qualified or part qualified.
  • High levels of attention to detail.
  • Strong IT and systems skills including Excel.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
