- Develop the breadth and quality of risk analytics across public market desks in the form of risk modelling (scenario analysis, stress testing, what-if) and risk attribution
- Perform regular investment desk reviews across numerous public market asset classes where risk allocation and portfolio construction are overseen and challenged
- Track record of providing independent challenge from a second line perspective, and ability to come up with practical solutions
- Continued design, implementation, and growth of the team to deliver its relevant priorities
- Conduct thematic reviews on emerging investment risks across public markets
- Review and challenge of investment guidelines and ability to opine on limit breach remediation
- Excellent communication skills and confidence to build strong working relationships with front office
- Investment risk experience in the investment management or pensions/endowments industry.
- Experience in quantitative and risk modelling ideally with external risk systems such as MSCI Barra One or Risk Manager
- Comprehensive knowledge of risk management within large complex and diverse portfolios, with proven experience of risk management across public markets.

About the role
In your role as Investment Risk Manager you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to actively oversight investment risk taking across public market portfolios, including equity, fixed income and multi-asset strategies.
The Investment Risk team is highly collaborative with investment desks, focusing on challenge of investment risks, including market, credit, concentration, liquidity and ESG.
