    The Data Centre Engineer is responsible for the delivery of Data Centre Engineering and Implementation projects and providing technical support for TP ICAP Global Datacentre Infrastructure.

    The individual is responsible for developing partnerships with other teams and managing the performance of external vendors.

    Translate requirements from network and platform architects and engineers into specific deployment plans. Responsible for managing datacenter hardware assets and engaging vendor's repairs and escalations.

    Strong knowledge of specifications of cages, PDUs, switches, routers and other network gears, power management and cost analysis, fiber types, cross-connects, cable wiring.

    Responsible for day-to-day DC management including monitoring and ensuring design plans are implemented accurately and efficiently.
    Work with internal/external group (telecoms, equipment vendors, NOC, customers) to assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repairs/replacements.
    Strong knowledge of power management, fiber types, cross-connects, cable wiring.
    Strong understanding of a broad range of technical skills in IT Infrastructure including network, servers, and storages, services.
    Strong knowledge of Datacenter management tools and asset management.
    Ability to complete tasks and projects with tight deadlines.
    Robust appreciation of the impact and risk of changes in a business-critical environment.
    Shift left Continuous Improvement approach.
    Demonstrable experience as a senior datacenter OPS engineer within enterprise environment.
    Knowledge and experience of ITIL working practices, including change management
    Experience working in Financial Services, either directly or through a service provider
    Knowledge and experience of ITIL working practices, including change management
    Cisco Datacenter as a service training or certification
    ITIL Foundation
