Job Summary

The post also supports other activities alongside the wider Communications team. These will be varied to suit the fast-paced nature of communications and marketing within the Trust. For example, photography, videography, animation, and occasional copywriting/proofreading.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 4 GCSE's including maths and English at Grade C/ 4 and above.
  • Previous experience and familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Knowledge of design technique and principles.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Time management skills.
  • A talent for creativity, problemsolving and pitching creative concepts.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist on the delivery of quality and impactful graphic design for print and online media channels for a healthcare organisation.


Under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Graphic Designer, ensure designs are impactful, persuasive where necessary, and appropriate and sensitive to the target audience.

e.g. patient information and posters, campaign materials; corporate publications and annual reports; promotional merchandise; advertising and advertorials; infographics; web-based digital content; presentations for conferences and events; events

  • Expertly create compelling content using a range of specialist software and techniques
Using photography, video, design software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign) and words to help the Trust tell its story in new and exciting ways. Keep skills and knowledge of emerging products up-to-date.

  • Assist the upkeep of Walsall Healthcare's visual identity and corporate branding


Under the supervision and guidance of the Senior Graphic Designer, for all Trust materials, in line with existing NHS Trust brand and NHS identity guidelines, ensuring that Walsall Healthcare's brand reflects its ambitions as an organisation.

Ensure that the brand is maintained effectively, and is always modern, fit for purpose, scalable, and accessible.

  • Support with creative content for all digital channels


Liaise and collaborate with the digital communications team in the creation of visuals and motion graphics for digital media channels such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.


  • Liaising with approved supplier for the delivery of print services
  • Managing internal print across the Manor Hospital site, as well as the community
  • Basic artworking duties
  • General administrative duties
  • Supporting the Well Wishers charity


Will also be expected to occasionally support the Trusts charity Fundraising Hub which will require occasionally being expected to work within the trust's charity shop, occasional handling of payments and providing face-to-face customer service with members of our community.

General office support for a very busy communications office involved in handling enquiries, media relations, planning of marketing campaigns, organising events and awards and supporting the demands of a busy healthcare trust.
