    Description

    Our client, a successful *Manufacturer* in Oldham, is looking for an experienced Procurement Coordinator.

    The role reports to the Head of Procurement and involves ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, collaborating with planning, sales, and operations to meet customer expectations.

    To handle the procurement of indirect materials and services to meet operational needs.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage daily raw and indirect material procurement activities
    • Keep all systems updated
    • Expedite orders according to the production plan
    • Identify production risks and report to seniors
    • Attend and provide updates in daily production meetings
    • Secure best pricing and manage material procurement
    • Maintain appropriate stock levels
    • Minimize material outages by finding alternatives
    • Work on cost-saving projects
    • Assist with general procurement activities
    • Ensure compliance with company H&S policies

    Skills and Experience:

    • Procurement experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
    • Understanding of MRP and JIT delivery profiling
    • Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers
    • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Tenacious with adaptive thinking
    • Excellent team player
    • Proficient in Sage, MS Office, especially Excel

    Working Hours:

    • Salary: £28k - £35k depending on experience
    * 25 days holiday + statutory

    Hours: Mon-Thur: 08:45 - 17:00, Fri: 08:45 - 15:00
