    Role

    Our current enterprise SaaS application has evolved over aperiod of about ten years.

    We constantlyneed to maintain and enhance this application to satisfy business needs and inparallel we are investing in new technologies that will transform our business.

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced .NET AzureTechnical Architect with a strong background in event-driven architecture tojoin our team.

    The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing andimplementing cloud-based, event-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure and .NETtechnologies.

    You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction ofthe project, ensuring the solution meets business requirements, and maintainingbest practices in software development and cloud architecture.

    You will need towork with members of our internal and nearshore engineering teams, our productteam, management, and other stakeholders.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a growingorganization early in a new phase of technology transformation.

    Given the remote working model, we need someone who ishighly motivated, a self-starter, well organized and comfortable interactingwith a diverse range of colleagues, all of whom will also be working remotely.

    This role reports to the CTO and must work UK hours with some evening shiftsinto US hours occasionally.

    Responsibilities

    Develop and implement robust, scalable, and maintainabletechnical architectures for cloud-based, event-driven solutions using MicrosoftAzure and .NET technologies.

    Build and demonstrate prototypes in Blazor and C# with AzureSQL and other NoSQL stores.

    Aid in the implementation of AI tools such as ChatGPT andCopilot across the software development lifecycle.

    Analyze and evaluate business requirements to define theoptimal technical solution and architecture, incorporating event-driven designprinciples.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including softwaredevelopers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensurealignment of technical and business objectives.

    Design and develop reusable components, frameworks, andlibraries that support event-driven architecture and can be leveraged acrossprojects.

    Provide guidance and mentorship to the development team onbest practices in event-driven software development, cloud architecture, andAzure services.

    Lead the evaluation and selection of tools, technologies,and platforms to support the implementation of cloud-based, event-drivensolutions.

    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emergingtechnologies, and best practices in Azure, .NET development, and event-drivenarchitecture.

    Develop and maintain technical documentation, includingarchitecture diagrams, design documents, and API specifications related toevent-driven systems.

    Assist in the estimation, planning, and scheduling ofproject tasks and resources, considering the unique requirements ofevent-driven solutions.

    Identify and address technical risks, issues, anddependencies throughout the project lifecycle, with an emphasis on event-drivenarchitecture and design.

    Guide the development of the Blazor based front end systemusing event driven techniques.

    Design APIs for internal and external communication forinbound and outbound data.

    Model and assist in auditing of security features to ensureclient and business data and processes are secure.
