Diagnostic Radiographer MRI - London, United Kingdom - The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust
Description
We are currently inviting applications from enthusiastic radiographers for a permanent diagnostic rotational CT/MRI radiographer post (band 6) for our Cavendish Square site in Central London.
The successful candidate would ideally have postgraduate experience in cross-sectional imaging and some experience of imaging oncology patients, although training can be provided if required.
X-ray skills are desirable as occasionally we have patients who require x-ray imaging, however the radiographer team are based within CT and MRI and attend x-ray only when required which is relatively infrequent.
Radiographers with a PGC in mammography are also welcome to apply however this is not essential.
The successful candidate should be a highly motivated radiographer with good communication skills, who is keen to contribute positively to the imaging service at Cavendish Square.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to professional development and show a keen interest in the future of their profession and the diagnostic imaging services.
The post holder will be expected to be flexible in their approach as the department will operate between 7.30am to 8pm Monday to Friday and Saturday 8am -6pm.
The post holder will be required to rotate between CT, MRI, x-ray and (where appropriate) mammography.
While working within an oncological environment the post holder will be required to interact directly with terminally ill patients as well as being exposed at times to distressing and emotional situations.
The post holder will be expected to be flexible in their approach to the department and service and will be required to be flexible and work at our other locations as and when required including but not limited to RMH Cavendish Square and our Chelsea and Sutton sites.
