Description
We are currently recruiting for qualified ACPs to join our growing Surgical Same Day Emergency Care team.Working alongside our Emergency Surgical teams you will provide excellent same day emergency care to a range of Surgical patients.
We are looking for enthusiastic professionals that can help to develop the service and provide quality same day care for our patients.
The post has been advertised as a Band 8A however, depending on your clinical knowledge and stage of practice this post may be offered as a trainee Band 7 while you develop the skills and knowledge required to meet the expectations set out for out ACP standards, the person specification is included in this pack, and this sets out the experience and attributes that we need in this key role.
The post holder will be practising autonomously as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) within acute services to provide patient-centred quality care.
This will encompass the skills of assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed score of the practice throughout Surgical acute services.

Qualifications / TrainingAdvanced Non-medical prescribing
Significant experience in specialism, including successful completion at trainee Advanced Practitioner level or equivalent
Established Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner, relevant experience of service transformation
Implementation of audit/research recommendations
Evidence of presentations at local / national levels
Experience in recruitment and retention matters, staff appraisal and performance management
Commitment to the on-going implementation of the Trust nursing and midwifery strategy
In-depth understanding of quality issues including clinical governance
Ability to synthesise information, consider and evaluate risks and options when making difficult decisions
Experience and evidence of engagement around the equality, diversity and inclusion agenda.
Able to actively support the development of a culture that recognises and promotes equality, values diversity, and actively leads by example in deploying these qualities.
Understands the impact on equality, diversity and inclusion issues in all aspects of service delivery and planning
