    Job Summary
    • We are looking for a skilled midwife with extensive knowledge of maternity triage and strong leadership qualities to join us as Maternity Triage Ward Manager.
    • You will oversee the management of Maternity Triage, ensuring the needs of service users are met. Your role involves providing expert clinical midwifery care and demonstrating compassionate leadership to the team.
    • Main Duties of the Job:
    • Manage the Triage team, including rostering and supporting staff.
    • Be a visible and credible leader for service users and staff.
    • Deliver high-quality care based on research and Trust policies.
    • Solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
    • Maintain a safe and comfortable ward environment.
    • Communicate effectively and foster innovation in clinical practice.
    • Support students and learners within the unit.

    Qualifications
    • Essential:
    • Registered Midwife.
    • Degree in Midwifery or relevant experience.
    • Professional portfolio demonstrating ongoing development.
    • Mentorship qualification.
    • Desirable:
    • Master's degree or equivalent.
    • NLS or equivalent certification.
    • ILS course or equivalent training.
    • NIPE qualification.
    • Leadership qualification.
    Experience
    • Essential:
    • Expertise in all areas of midwifery.
    • Leadership and clinical development experience.
    • Updated clinical knowledge and involvement in audits.
    • Desirable:
    • Experience in complaint handling and guideline revision.
    • Active participation in maternity forums.
    • Knowledge of information systems.
    Skills
    • Essential:
    • Proficiency in clinical practice and NMC standards.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability in clinical procedures.
    • Clinical leadership skills.
    • Desirable:
    • Leadership qualities and commitment to evidence-based practice.
    • Experience in driving change in clinical settings.
    Additional Requirements
    • Essential:
    • Team player with ability to travel between Trust and community services.
    • Support for midwifery-led care.
    • Adherence to Trust values.
    • Availability for on-call duties.
    • Desirable:
    • Capability to act up for Clinical Service Manager.
    • Leadership experience in multidisciplinary teams.
