Primary Teacher (Specialist Setting); ChesterfieldWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join our specialist setting in Chesterfield.
In this role, you will work with pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who are currently excluded from mainstream education due to a range of additional needs, including social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver the primary curriculum in a way that is accessible and beneficial to these pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering the primary curriculum to pupils with additional needs in a specialist setting.
Creating engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of the pupils.
Collaborating with a team of Teaching Assistants to provide support and maintain a high staff to pupil ratio.
Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
Establishing positive relationships with pupils, parents, and external agencies involved in supporting pupil welfare and education.
Participating in meetings and professional development activities outside of regular hours as required
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
Experience or a willingness to work with pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual pupils.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Driving licence and access to own car for travel purposes.

Working Hours:
Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
Attendance at meetings and professional development activities outside of regular hours may be required
Contract Details:
Permanent position.
Initially pay rolled through Tradewind Recruitment for a probationary period before transferring onto the school's permanent contract.
