We have partnered with an exciting global leading engineering organisation, who are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Lead within a test department at this unique site in Oxfordshire.
The safety culture is very positive within the organisation, you will continue delivering through collaborative ways of working when engaging with colleagues relating to health and safety components.

The Role of Health andSafety Lead:
Develop and continually improve the H&S strategy within the department
You will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will be
You will drive cultural change, continually bringing H&S to the forefront
Develop and continually improve bespoke risk assessments and safe systems of work
Ensure standards are maintained and continually improved upon
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
The Health and Safety Lead candidate:
Candidates must have experience working within an engineering / manufacturing or R&D environment
Any previous aviation experience is highly desirable
NEBOSH General, ideally Diploma or working towards
A minimum of Certified Membership of IOSH (CertIOSH) is required with Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) being advantages.
Knowledge of COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, PSSR with an understanding of the explosives regs. being highly desirable
An engineering background is highly desirable
Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
