    Description

    Overview:

    Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and dynamic General Cover Supervisor to join a vibrant Secondary School in Luton, Bedfordshire.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of UK education experience and a passion for supporting the learning and development of secondary school students.

    As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining continuity of education in the absence of regular teaching staff, ensuring a positive and conducive learning environment for students.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Cover Supervision:
    Assume responsibility for supervising classes during the short-term absence of regular teaching staff.
    Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and materials, maintaining continuity in students' learning.
    Manage classroom behavior effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.

    Student Engagement and Support:
    Engage students in the learning process, providing assistance and support as needed.
    Respond to student queries and concerns, promoting a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
    Encourage student participation and involvement in classroom activities and discussions.

    Administrative Duties:
    Maintain accurate records of attendance and behavior, reporting any issues to appropriate school personnel.
    Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and materials as required.
    Collaborate with teaching staff and school administrators to ensure smooth operation of daily activities.

    Professional Development:
    Participate in training and professional development opportunities provided by the school or employer.
    Stay updated on educational best practices and school policies relevant to the role.
    Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and personal growth in the field of education

    Qualifications and Experience:
    Minimum of 6 months of experience working within the UK education system, preferably in a secondary school setting.
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
    Good organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining accurate records and managing classroom resources.
    Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing educational environment.
    A genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of students.
    Relevant qualifications in education or related fields are desirable but not essential
