    Description
    Progeny is currently entering an exciting phase of growth and succession, which has in turn led to an investment in the expansion of our Legal Team. As part of the Private Law team, you will provide legal advice on a variety of complex client matters, including wills and succession, IHT, drafting and advice in respect of trusts, and probate advice, as well as working closely with colleagues in our Wealth Management team for the benefit of mutual clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Arrange and conduct meetings with new and existing clients to establish the necessary advice and services, based on the client's needs.
    • Taking and acting upon client instructions.
    • Drafting of documents, letters and contracts tailored to the client's individual needs.
    • Research and analyse documents and case law to ensure the accuracy of advice and procedure.
    • Adherence to the standards as set by the SRA and to all of the Firm's policies and procedures.


    Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

    • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (preferably with at least 2 years PQE)
    • Excellent working knowledge of the law including key practice areas.
    • Consistently deliver high-quality legal services through appropriate monitoring and management of own personal training and development.
    • Ability to mentor and coach junior members of the team
    • Ability to build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships within all aspects of the business.
    • Ability to exercise discretion and professionalism at all times.
    • Work diligently and in good faith within the general working practices required of a qualified solicitor or chartered legal executive
