    Description

    Following the retirement of our present highly successful Headteacher in December 2024, the Governors are seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced leader of staff and pupils who has the vision to lead the school into an exciting new era.

    HEADTEACHER

    GROUP 7: ISR 27-34NOR: 1135

    St Michael's CE High School is a mixed, oversubscribed 11-16 Single Academy Trust (SAT) with a tradition of academic excellence.

    • an excellent reputation throughout the county, Diocese and within the Church of England
    • principled, forward thinking, highly motivated staff team and Governing Body
    • friendly, articulate and well-mannered pupils
    • exceptionally popular admission and over subscribed for many years
    • sustained success in pupil outcomes (top 10% of non-selective schools nationally for pupil attainment and at least top 20% of schools nationally for pupil progress for over a decade)
    • a collaborative understanding and engagement in the multi academy agenda.

    Governors, staff and pupils are looking for an inspiring headteacher with:

    • a clear educational philosophy and vision which focuses on learning and teaching to deliver high attainment and progress

    • a desire to maintain and enhance the existing strengths of the school through a commitment to collaboration and professional growth.
