- Responsible for ensuring that all relevant trades are reported within EMIR and REMIT regulatory deadlines, so that required regulatory obligations are met.
- Responsible for maintaining and contributing to a high performing team.
- Monitor trade submission error logs, performing root cause analysis when necessary, to ensure that trades are reported within specified timeframes.
- Work with Technical partners to ensure infrastructure / reporting logic issues are resolved.
- Liaising and interacting with Front Office, Operations and IT teams to investigate and resolve exceptions
- Testing of transaction reporting data for completeness, accuracy and identification of issues.
- Assess and deliver transaction reporting developments, ensuring changes are in line with regulations.
- Evaluate current reporting processes in comparison to regulatory guidelines, industry best practices and counterparty data in order to identify gaps and to streamline and automate current processes.
- Ensuring all processes are constantly critically reviewed for enhancements and controls.
- Knowledge of financial and wholesale energy regulations EMIR, REMIT, and MiFID.
- Good working knowledge of Operations within Energy Markets.
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes including: booking, amendment, contracts, and settlements.
- Demonstrates analytical skills which can be used in an agile and dynamic working environment
- Exposure to new system implementation and development.
- Able to follow procedures, identify problems, propose solutions and follow up on resolution.
- Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills are an advantage.
- Skills in automated process applications (Such as Alteryx) are an advantage.
- Degree level educated or equivalent work experience.

Contracts and Settlements is one of several support functions that enable EDF Trading to tightly control its commercial activities and process a large number of transactions with a wide variety of counterparts.
The department acts as an enabler for the commercial side of the business whilst ensuring effective processes and controls are in place to mitigate operational risk and potential loss whether financial (actual or lost opportunity) or reputational.
Position purpose
This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team. The role will primarily be to take ownership and responsibility of Transaction Reporting processes and ensure that timely, complete and accurate data is delivered in accordance with the various obligations under numerous regulations (EMIR, REMIT and MiFID).
Main responsibilities
Experience required
Senior Analyst: ideally 3+ years' experience in applicable role
Prior experience of working in a regulatory reporting operations role (ideally in Gas, Power and Emissions markets), and/or a Middle / Back office operations role (ideally in Gas, Power and Emissions markets).
