The position of Director of Finance is a newly created role, which will act as a catalyst for change and transformation across the finance function.
Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the delivery and development of a large University Finance Team ensuring it delivers best in class service in line with the University's strategic objective of being the best run university in the UK.
The Director of Finance will be the principal adviser to both the CFO and University Executive on financial strategy and the University planning process, delivering the vision to be a highly valued, collaborative partner that delivers the financial expertise, analysis and insight that enables the University to be both educationally and financially sustainable.
You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the control environment is well-designed, consistent with University strategy, widely understood and effectively delivered.
The University and CFO are seeking a confident leader with energy, drive, commitment and integrity.Alongside a competitive salary, the benefits package includes a generous defined pension scheme and holiday entitlement (minimum 42 days pa).
The role is predominantly office based, although home working will be supported, and the University operates several family-friendly policies to support their employees in achieving a work-life balance.
