- Check the Nominal and capital ledgers on a monthly basis, correcting any mispostings as required for the company and subsidiary companies.
- Assist in the production of monthly Management Accounts to support accurate budgetary reporting.
- Assist in carrying out the work required in the implementation of the new finance and housing systems.
- Assist budget holders with budget enquiries and requests, providing financial guidance as necessary to enable decisions to be taken in a timely manner.
- Assist the Assistant Director Finance with yearend account preparation and audit.
- Any other duties assigned by the Management Accountants and Assistant Director Finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, PeopleSoft, Sage, or QuickBooks
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes
- Experience with financial accounting and reporting standards
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information effectively
