Description
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Supply Chain professional to join a brilliant client of ours as a Demand Planning Manager on a fixed term contract for 18 months starting in late Feb/early April.
This role is to manage a team of 7 in total that includes 2 demand planners, 1 supply chain planner, and 4 administration staff.
This role will suit someone with wealth of demand planning or production planning experience, who has team management experience also.
Salary = £45-55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hybrid working = 3 days a week office based - Site in based in Aston area
Expectations:
- Manage team, along with monthly One to Ones and Annual PDRs
- Liaising with the NPD department on new launches/Product changeovers
- Liaising with the sales team on any product exits
- Challenge accuracy and ensure the correct loading of the forecast into SAP to drive demand
- Ensuring the correct production quantities are being produced in line with forecast and product/material changes. This is across two different production sites and 6 production lines
- Communicate relevant production plan changes across to wider business
- Lead the team in ensuring supplier forecast are sent out correctly and ontime
- Managing materials and providing authorisations to manufacture to suppliers as and when required
- Liaise with engineering managers to add in weekly and additional asset care for production lines to ensure we are gaining the best performance.
- Warehouse monitoring to ensure we only fill our capacity with the correct products
- Support other departments as and when required
- Communicate any forecast required changes with contract pack customers
- Attend ongoing training to support the development of your role
- Previous demand planning manager/coordinator or production planning experience is necessary
- Experience of SAP systems would be an advantage
- Advanced Excel skills, including vlookups, pivot tables
- Team management experience
- Accurate and good attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Confident with ability to handle pressurised situations in a calm and composed manner
- A team player who is hardworking, selfmotivated and proactive
