The role of Logistics Planner involves monitoring operations, customer service and problem solving within the transport team using the in-house system.

This role benefits from an excellent salary of up to £32,000 per year with a bonus of up to 10% (performancebased) paid twice annually and hybrid working - three days from home, two days based at site which will be in Wellingborough or Tamworth.

This is the logistics function and part of a global and leading multinational electronics group, offering an entire logistics process management solution dispatching goods to retail partners across the UK.


Description

The role of Logistics Planner will involve:

  • Overseeing the smooth operation of the transport function.
  • Liaising with the 3PL service provider.
  • Using the inhouse system to monitor processes.
  • Releasing orders to the warehouse team.
  • Customer service.
  • Some project work.
  • Reporting and forecasting.
  • General administration work.

Profile

The successful Logistics Planner will have:

  • Experience in transport and/or warehouse planning.
  • Knowledge of transport and/or warehouse planning software.
  • The ability to liaise with different stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Experience handling data.
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain

Preferable:

  • Logistics forecasting experience.
  • Demand planning knowledge.

Job Offer

The role of Logistics Planner offers:

  • An excellent salary of £28,000-£32,000 per year (depending on experience).
