A bit about the role...


Working with the Senior Manager Policy and Process within the Home Ownership Operational Policy team, the team plays a critical role in supporting the directorate by having a deep understanding of home ownership operational policies, procedures, programmedelivery, and risks and controls.


You will be joining our small but friendly and high performing team who are committed to operating a highly efficient and responsive service.


We believe in working in an open and collaborative environment to foster policy discussions, good decision-making and problem solving to ensure Government's high priority home ownerships objectives are delivered and longer-term performance of the equityloan portfolio.


This is a rare chance to shape the delivery improvement of government funded home ownership scheme in England in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose.

Working with key stakeholders within Home Ownership directorate, Homes Englandcorporate functions (e.g., Legal, Consumer Risk and Finance) and the policy team of the sponsoring Government Department, you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective management of operational policies and procedures in line with the policy and processlifecycle management framework.


The role will support the delivery of projects which relate to operational policies as well as reviewing existing operational policies and procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions toimproving the delivery of government funded home ownership scheme and advising wider government departments in their decision making.


A bit about you


Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about translating government policies into detailed operational policies and procedures. You will ideally have financial service or housing experience in managing home ownership schemes and loan products.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn't always easy.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what wedo as an Operational Policy team.

You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.


As an experienced policy and process professional you'll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
