The Post holder will ideally haveprevious NHS experience, previous experience inNeurological rehabilitation, Knowledge, andexperience of managing patients with an acquired neurological condition isessential. They must be able to demonstrate initiative and prioritise a complexworkload whilst working both as a autonomous and practitioner and as part of ateam.
You will beresponsible for providing specialist complex multi-factorial clinicalassessments, Occupational Therapy treatment and advice to stroke/ neuro clientsin the community as part of the Community Neuro-rehabilitation Team
Main duties of the job
Evaluate and interpret clinical andnon-clinical facts using highly developed clinical reasoning and problem-solvingskills to clinically diagnose, formulate and implement treatment programmes andpathways of care. Intervention will be delivered in a manner that reflectschoice, privacy, dignity and individuality choosing from an extensive range oftreatment modalities, manual therapy techniques and disease management options.
Clinical knowledge, expertise and highlydeveloped communication skills to reassure, persuade, motivate and empowerpatients and to provide support to families and carers.
Evaluatethe effectiveness of treatments in relation to the rehabilitation goals andmodify this accordingly as treatment progresses.
