An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist with proven knowledge, skills and experience in rapid response, intermediate care, rehabilitation, and admission avoidance.

We are looking for an experienced and well-organised individual with a passion for promoting independence and providing therapy intervention in a person's own home, utilising a home-first approach.

Bury Rapid Community Response Service

Home-based Intermediate Care and Reablement

The Service operates a 7-day service, currently covering the hours of 8 am to 8 pm, including weekends therefore, the ability to work shifts to cover these hours is a requirement of the role.

The Intermediate Tier prides itself on providing strengths-based assessments and interventions to the people of Bury, helping them regain or attain as much independence as possible in their homes.

We are looking for someone committed to being part of a healthcare team that delivers excellent care and support to our patients.

To help us achieve this, you will be responsible for your own caseload, performing patient therapy assessments, providing a diagnosis, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised holistic treatment programmes, and delivering a high standard of evidence-based care.

A flexible approach to day-to-day tasks is a must to meet the demands of the service.

You will also need to travel across the service footprint, when necessary, in line with service needs, so access to transport is essential.

Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
Education or willingness to complete short courses, and experience to post graduate diploma level
Post graduate diploma / CPD

Relevant specialist clinical experience at post graduate level

Specialist knowledge and application of Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention relevant to client group

Flexible to meet the needs of the service
Willing to carry out all duties and responsibilities of the post in accordance with the Trust's Equal Opportunities and Equality and Diversity policies
Use of a car or access to a means of mobility to travel across the Trust footprint in line with service needs
