    We are proud to be working with a not-for-profit organisation who are currently in need of a Team Leader for a 'Good' rated children's home in Nottingham.


    SALARY:
    £37,000 (inclusive of sleeps) + £4,000 bonus


    HOURS:
    40 hours per week (shift work, on a rota basis)


    This company aim to put the needs of the children above everything else, they believe that every child should have the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can become.

    Ideally you will be familiar with trauma informed interventions and will be someone who is passionate about children and young people and excited by the prospect of making a real difference to children's lives.


    Leading a team of Care Workers, you will work on shift with them to be hands-on working with the young people from the every-day tasks such as personal care, going to school and having fun.


    • To be present, to support the young people when they are in crisis; using the theories you have been taught, you will be able to support that child as they regulate and work with them to keep them safe from harm using a wide range of techniques and practices. This might mean sitting with a child through that crisis for hours, but your dedication to your role and to that child means you do this without a second thought.
    • Having the child at the centre of all we do is critically important to us; we involve the child in their care plan, their risk assessments, their communication plan. We listen to the children about how they want to be cared for and work with them to create a world in which they feel safe and have their basic needs met. You will share our ideas and theories that by putting the child in control, they can thrive. Working in conjunction with all the agencies, schools and other 3rd parties involved in a child's care, you will reinforce these messages and advocate for the best interest of the child.
    Previous experience of working in a residential children's home


    • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People or equivalent
    • Strong leadership qualities
    • Full UK driving licence
    • Willingness to be flexible, including shift patterns and sleep-ins
