With 45 years experience, Mivan is a dynamic and progressive specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor with a reputation for excellence and innovation and an international track record of achievement within a broad range of sectors including marine, luxury hotels, prime residential and commercial.
Due to new contract awards within our marine division, we are currently looking for an experienced and ambitious Project Manager to join our Marine team based in Antrim.
The Project Manager is responsible for establishing and successfully co-ordinating the necessary resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the client's satisfaction.
Assist in the development of the project budget and ensure the project is delivered within that budgetEnsure that all work is carried out to the client's specifications and ensure that all those engaged on site have up-to-date information and adhere to the project plan
Ensure that the project resources i.e. staff, labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors are effectively managed
Ensure the Company Operations and Safety Management Procedures are implemented on the project
Develop, maintain and measure staff performance against these targets
Assist in monitoring the financial performance of the project and develop an understanding of Cost Value Reporting as well as taking all necessary steps to minimise costs
Proactively participate in value engineering to maximise project contribution
Ensure that a high standard of safety is maintained throughout the project and that all relevant environmental and health & safety regulations and procedures are adhered to.
Working in interior fit-out type projects is advantageous, this experience does not necessarily need to be marine based. Candidates must demonstrate leadership, planning and communication skills with the ability to keep calm under pressure, make decisions and solve problemsGreat attention to detail, commercial acumen and cost control are essential as is the ability to build and promote successful customer relationships.
The nature of Marine, the role is predominately office based in Antrim, but as an Project Manager, there will be a requirement to travel to lead the project to ensure a successfully delivery for the client.
