    Senior SEN Case Officer - Ref: CH14723

    G9: £38,223 to £43,421 per annum

    Contract: full-time, permanent

    Are you looking to supervise a team of Education Health and Care (EHC) Casework Officers in supporting children and young people with additional needs?

    We are looking for efficient and hardworking Senior Casework Officers with experience in the area of special educational needs.

    As a senior officer, you will have responsibility for oversight on a number of complex cases, and you will also use your experience and expertise to support the officers who you supervise. This will involve high levels of organisational skills and diplomacy. You will be responsible for ensuring timely EHC assessments and annual reviews are planned and executed, within your defined geographical area. Frequent communication will be required with parents and carers, and professionals from a range of statutory services.

    You will be required to understand and utilise data that is provided to you to assist your daily work. You will also conduct your staff's supervision. You may be required to represent the service at various meetings such as placement discussions, tribunal discussions and other operational meetings. It is essential that you have a working knowledge of all of the relevant legislation around SEND.

    This is a demanding role, however you will be working in an established experienced and supportive team. There is an emphasis on team working and striving to continuous improvement to our service within a customer care environment.
