**Profile Criteria:
  • Revenue reporting and recognition experience
  • Good communication and influencing skills with stakeholder management experience (stakeholders will be internally within finance, desk heads, senior management, etc.)
  • An individual with a good understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Confident user of Excel with Oracle or Hyperion being a beneficial (but not essential)

Job Duties:


  • Accurate and timely month end close of revenue related transactions in EMEA Regulated and Trading Legal Entities.
  • Reconciliation and substantiation of revenue related balance sheet accounts.
Assist with the preparation and distribution of the EMEA daily revenue report to Senior Management.

  • Understand trade flows for specific trade capture systems and the interfaces from these systems to the General Ledger.
  • Maintain trade mappings for monthly reporting.
  • Preparation of manual month end revenue entries as part of the preparation of Management Accounts within the EMEA region, across all brands, asset classes and legal entities.
  • Reconciliation and validation of desk level revenue at month end.
  • Responsible for the monthly Balance Sheet substantiation and the reconciliation of all revenue related balances back to the relevant subledgers or source systems.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of daily revenue reports at Desk/Divisional level and EMEA Regional reporting.
  • Preparation of revenues for Flash reporting at entity/desk level. Ensure all revenues are mapped correctly for upload to the reporting system.
  • Assist with the preparation of trade reconciliations from middle office systems to the General Ledger and ensure accurate of reporting for the revenue interfaces.
  • Assist in resolving revenue queries to facilitate front office compensation processes.
  • Assisting with team developments to improve efficiency, reporting and processes for both UK and Non-UK offices in a controlled environment.
  • Ensure an effective risk and control framework is embedded to support our processes.
  • Preparation of year end files and reconciliations for relevant Trading entities to support the year end audit process. Assist with audit queries as required.
Assist Group Tax with the preparation of VAT returns.

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with the EMEA Finance Team and other key stakeholders. There should be clear communication and adoption of Group Accounting Policies and ensure the Expenditure Control Framework is adhered to at all times.
  • From time to time, you will be asked to undertake any other reasonable duties as required within this role.
