Introduction:


Our client work within transportation and telecoms and are looking for someone with a Health and Safety background to support their projects at Heathrow Airport to ensure they meet legal standards, regulations and objectives in line with ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS145001.


This is an excellent starter opportunity for someone looking to become a HSE Professional, to learn our client's business and have the opportunity for career progression.


Key responsibilities:


  • Employee and subcontractor management, monitoring activities to ensure compliance, industry and legal standards.
  • Perform safety briefings and raise issues regarding health and safety.
  • Work with contractors, staff and client to instil good H+S behaviours.
  • Administrate the Approved Vendors List.
  • Administrate the company's health and safety statistics and records.
  • Maintaining the QHSE Calendar.
  • Carry out Contractor Inductions.
  • Assist with Workplace Inspections.
  • Complete COSHH assessments.

Skills & experience:


  • Be an excellent communicator and be confident to raise issues, brief individuals and to challenge unsafe acts.
  • An understanding of QHSE management systems and the fundamentals of health and safety management.
  • Be a QSSE administrator or assistant or a newly qualified NEBOSH/IOSH certificate holder requiring experience of working with QHSE management systems.
  • An understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS145001 or experience of working in an engineering or construction environment would be highly desirable.
