Our client is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to head up the quality department and ensure that all products and services are consistent.

You'll be responsible for quality planning, quality assurance, quality control and quality improvement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:_

  • QA qualified with at least 2 years QA experience within a retail environment, preferably with experience of têxtile processes and BRC/ETI standards.
  • A proven track record of leading/managing a successful high performing team
  • Demonstrable commercial understanding and knowledge of retail market.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationshipbuilding skills with all levels
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Possess good attention to detail
  • Proven managerial skills
  • Commitment to continuous personal development to maintain technical and compliance knowledge.
  • An ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES_

PLANNING AND ORGANISING:

Manages the process of administration of all QA processes and records including QA plans, product testing and audits. To ensure accuracy and relevance of records, compliance with legislation and availability of relevant information to the business

Review and development of relevant QA policies and procedures. Maintenance of a system of up to date QA policies reflecting working practises, supporting the business and ensuring compliance with legislation and implementation of new effective practise

Review QA legislation and implement any changes to existing procedures and systems. To provide competitive advantage through ensuring QA systems, internal and external, comply with the latest legislation and practises.


DECISION MAKING AND ANALYSIS:

To produce accurate QA plans, including for implementation of audits and new initiatives.

To ensure relevant QA information is available to the business in order to identify how QA can further support future business development.

To produce relevant reports and reviews on QA processes, including QA standards (e.g. BRCGS), product sampling and customer complaints.

To ensure relevant QA information is available to the business and management team in order to ensure QA is effectivelysupporting the business and identify how QA can improve and further support future business development.

To provide up to date task information and progress on specific tasks across all the departments.

MANAGEMENT:

To facilitate, co-ordinate and head up the annual BRC Audits and implement recommendations and/or corrective actions. To ensure the business achieves the highest possible certification and recognition for the quality standards this represents.

To coordinate supplier ethical audits as part of the Ethical Trading Initiative working in collaboration with buying department. To ensure suppliers comply with the ETI, support them to maintain these standards and retain competitive advantage

Line management responsibility for QA team including: Planning and carrying out performance reviews, including appraisal, and identifying development needs.

This is a full time, site based role.
