    Location:Midlands & South UK

    Are you currentlyservicing troubleshooting and repairing LC and/or GC equipment aseither a Field Service Engineer or SiteEngineer

    Tasks

    Theresponsibilities of the Field ServiceEngineer:

    • Provideonsite support to my clients customers for GC & LCscientific equipment in the following areas: breakdown preventivemaintenance operational qualification &training
    • Inhouse workshop repairs and refurbishinstruments for sale in accordance with qualityrequirements
    • Delivery of remote technicalsupport via telephone email or remote accesssoftware.
    • Delivery of remote and inpersontraining courses within area ofexpertise
    • Correct completion and timelysubmission of all service documentation
    • Ensureall company property entrusted is properly looked after and withinrequired calibration
    • Correct completion andtimely submission of monthly expenses in accordance with thecompany expenses policy
    • Compliance with allcompany processes and procedures
    • Compliancewill all UK health & safetyregulations
    • Manage own workload effectivelyorganise and prioritise and any project involvement todeadlines
    • Continually review working practicesand proactively make recommendations to the manager to improve andincrease efficiency of current operations
    • Buildand maintain harmonious working relationships with colleagues andcustomers to achieve and exceed customerexpectations
    • Keep abreast of newinstrumentation and analytical techniques in the wider analyticalindustry

    Requirements

    Therequirements of the Chromatography Field ServiceEngineer:

    • You will havecirca 2 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer servicingeither or a mix of LC & GC equipment for either an OEMsuch as Waters Agilent Perkin Elmer Shimadzu Bruker Sciex etc or athirdparty service provider
    • Significantadvantage if you have Mass Spectrometry (MS) experience (doublebonus for Water and/or Agilentexperience)
    • Knowledge of PC/Workstationhardware and operating systems isdesirable
    • Knowledge of analytical methods andmethod development is also desirable
    • Full andideally clean UK driving licence with the ability to undertakefield travel and stay away from home whenrequired
    • Full right to work in the UK and avalidpassport
