    Technical Service/Support Engineer - Metalworking/Industrial fluids
    UK Home Based – Midlands or North East (preferred locations)

    The Company: Long established global developer and manufacturer of metalworking fluids headquartered in Germany
    The Role    :     An exciting, autonomous opportunity for someone with a background in mechanical or industrial engineering and excellent customer facing skills to join a long established global developer and manufacturer of metalworking fluids. As the company embarks on another exciting growth chapter the role will be ideally suited to someone who is self motivated, comfortable planning their own time and plant visits, highly organised, able to operate from a home office, comfortable being out in the field, with excellent communication and relationship building skills.

    As Technical Service Engineer you will have experience from a manufacturing, chemical or industrial service or related sales environment, a good understanding of the components and applications associated with metalworking / industrial fluids in manufacturing and act as the first point of contact for accounts and distributors in your territory.

    Key responsibilities:
    • Provide first class service and support to your assigned accounts, sales team, and distributors
    • First point of contact in your assigned territory
    • Report back your findings and recommendations to the management team
    • Troubleshooting, supervising trials and testing, running samples and looking for opportunities through your accounts to increase revenue are all typical responsibilities
    • Travel to sites - occasional overnight stays may be required
    Person Profile:
    • Engineering mindset/background – mechanical engineering qualification (desirable but not essential) or any relevant engineering academic background
    • Knowledge/understanding of MWF and /or Industrial lubrication fluids
    • Experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or service/sales support role advantageous
    • Someone who is self driven and motivated to plan and manage their own time
    • Good customer facing and relationship building skills
    • Comfortable interacting with and advising customers
    • Highly organised
    • Enjoys being out in the field, comfortable in manufacturing environment
    • Enjoys autonomy
    • Potential to grow
    • Sales aptitude desirable though not essential
    • Good commercial awareness
    A full training programme and induction will be provided which will mean a 2 week trip overseas on joining with further ongoing training provided as required. The aim being to help you become something of an expert on the product portfolio.
