    Description

    Little Flyers Childcare is a well-established family owned group of nurseries and out of school care within Edinburgh and West Lothian.

    We have strong family values, and wellbeing for our children and families along with our valued team of staff.

    All staff at Little Flyers no matter what their title are encouraged to engage in and promote rich learning environments for our children, extensively inside and outside.

    Hold an HNC/SVQ 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent and willing to undertake further training

    • Strong knowledge of GIRFEC, Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence, My World Outdoors amongst other local and national guidance
    • A knowledge of Outdoor Education /Forest School would be advantageous- however a passion for working in the outdoors and a willingness to learn is essential.
    • Supporting and developing an enabling environment that is child led using indoors, outdoors, and beyond.
    • Be a positive role model to other staff members ensuring delivery of high-quality practice with a passion to meeting the individual needs of all children including those who require additional support for learning
    • Be able to display high quality practice and monitor the delivery of rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs.
    • To oversee observation, planning and assessment with the support of the manager and uploading information on the Famly software app.
