- Manage the day-to-day operations of the North Kent waste management contracts.
- Oversee data reporting and analysis, implementing electronic systems for efficient information management.
- Manage staff resources, including shift rotas, overtime allocation, and annual leave.
- Allocate and process tasks in the workshop, ensuring efficient scheduling and labour allocation.
- Coordinate all resources and activities to effectively meet customer requirements.
- Provide timely updates to customers and maintain clear and accurate communication channels.
- Control expenditure and manage the Profit and Loss account effectively.
- Identify and implement training opportunities to enhance staff skills.
- Provide performance feedback and manage staff accordingly.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer representatives.
- Manage subcontractor relationships and ensure adherence to standards.
- Comply with all company and customer health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Schedule fleet maintenance and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Continuously strive to improve business productivity and efficiency.
- Participate in corporate events to strengthen customer engagement and business development.
- Experience in the waste management sector, preferably with knowledge of waste recycling, transport planning, fleet control, and facilities management.
- Strong budgetary control and P&L management skills.
- Excellent customer service focus and a proven ability to build strong relationships.
- Commercial acumen and a solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations effectively.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to balance commercial, operational, and compliance factors to achieve profitability and customer satisfaction.
