(Senior) Scientist - Pipeline Scientist

REED are working with an exciting life sciences start-up based in the Cambridge area to fill a vacancy for a Scientist/Senior Scientist to join their TCR expression pipeline team.

In this role you will be responsible for:

Microfluidic-based NGS library preparation
Work with technology development, expression and bioinformatics teams to identify trends in sequence data and expression profiles
Trouble shooting and technology development
Establishment, review, and updates of SOPs
Sample preparation for multiparameter flow cytometry panels for sorting of cells of interest
Primary immune cell culture and functional assays (desirable)
Precise recording of daily laboratory work
This role will also likely include management responsibilities as the company grows

About You

A PhD (or equivalent experience) in Cell Biology/Genetics/Biomedical Sciences or a similar discipline with strong microfluidics, single cell and NGS experience
Extensive handson experience in single cell technology and library preparation
Practical laboratory experience with carrying out single cell sequencing for murine and human lymphocytes
Proven experience in NGS data analysis
Demonstrated skills in trouble shooting and technology development
The ability to work in a team environment with good collaboration skills
Immunoassay techniques such as ELISA, ELISpot, flowbased binding assays, are desirable
Management experience or supervision of direct reports is desirable
